Job Description

This is a Direct Hire position, 100% on site in Buena Park, salary is up to 150k/year.

Job Summary: The Quality Systems Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, maintaining, and improving the organization's quality management systems (QMS) to ensure compliance with internal standards, customer requirements, and regulatory expectations. This role leads quality initiatives, audits, corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), document control, and continuous improvement efforts across operations.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain the company's Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with IATF 16949 and ISO 9001.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory standards.
  • Strategic planning
  • Manage internal and external audit program.
  • Manage CAPA processes and ensure timely resolution of quality issues.
  • Present QMS metrics in Quarterly management review meetings.
  • Manage the customer complaint system and the corrective action system.
  • Participate in customer complaint, corrective action and Quality return meetings.
  • Meet with customers as required to address Quality problems and expectations.
  • Manage document control processes, including SOPs, work instructions, and quality records.
  • Manage ERP item planning, including new item development for first articles and PPAP's.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support root cause analysis activities.
  • Develop quality policies and objectives aligned with business goals.
  • Manage calibration program.
  • Manage UL audit program.
  • Manage the Manufacturing Discrepancy Material Report program.
  • Review Keyence and Bytewise 360 data to address quality problems and opportunities.
  • Responsible for the receiving inspection, in-process inspection, and finished goods inspection processes and procedures.

Required Skills and Attributes:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in quality systems, quality assurance, or compliance management.
  • Strong communication and leadership abilities.
  • Problem resolution with root cause analysis using 5-why, Fishbone diagram, Pareto analysis.
  • Team leadership: Supervise, train, and hire Quality staff.
  • Strong knowledge of quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience leading audits and managing CAPA systems.
  • Familiarity with quality tools such as Six Sigma, Lean, FMEA, and root cause analysis.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with the capabilities of Keyence measurement systems, Bytewise 360, and GagePack.
